Quito seemed to be a more interesting city than Lima. It certainly is more convenient because the currency is U.S. dollars. The trips to the “real” and the state designated equator was a trip. There was a demonstration of the Coriolis effect. It shouldn’t work, but the water drains according to the laws of physics. On the Sunday the main square of Quito was alive with a large crowd entertained by street performer.
